Lara Logan
Lara Logan, born 29/03/71 was an South African television journalist and war reporter. She was a CBS News reporter from 2002 until 2018.60 Minutes' executive producers Jeff Fager and Lara Logan have called her factually incorrect and politcally biased report on the 2012 Benghazi attacks "the biggest error I've made in my 10 years of watching." She was a member of Sinclair Broadcast Group (a conservative media group) in 2019. In January of 2020 she joined Fox Nation, a subscription streaming service operated by Fox News. She claimed that she was "dumped" by Fox Nation in March 2022. Logan was a reporter for the Sunday Tribune in Durban, during her studies (1988-1989) before working for the Daily News (1990-1992). She joined Reuters Television Africa in 1992 as a senior producer. After four years, she began freelance journalism. Reporter/editor/producer assignments for ITN, Fox/SKY News, CBS News (in London), ABC News (in Nairobi), NBC and European Broadcasting Union were all given to her. CNN hired her to cover about such events as the 1998 United States Embassy bombings in Nairobi, Tanzania and the conflict in Northern Ireland.
